Automatic Emergency Braking

This system triggers automatic braking in an emergency situation. It comprises a mid- or long-range radar system, and a forward-facing camera that is housed in the rearview mirror. The camera and radar work with the vehicle’s sophisticated braking systems, such as Electronic Stability Control and Emergency Brake Assist, to help bring vehicles to a rapid stop.
