TRW uses its expertise in sensor technology to manufacture a product that offers a field of view that covers most of the blind-spot area around a vehicle, at a range of 50m.  If a moving object is detected within the specified zone (an opening of between 50 and 70°), a warning signal is issued.

Lane Change Assist features a fast reaction time supporting lane change maneuvers for high-speed driving situations.  The system is fully operational at speeds up to 250km/h.
